Pamala Buzick Kim

Founder/Agent, MAVEN

Pamala Buzick Kim (she/her) is a Korean-American leader operating at the intersection of creativity, innovation, and growth. She recently relaunched Maven Label after a seven-year hiatus, reviving the talent agency to represent bold studios, artists, and content for distinctive brand collaborations. Originally founded in 2010, Maven Label served as the sales arm for 12 production companies, two music houses, a British VFX house expanding to the U.S., and a legacy editorial house, generating over $600M in work.

As Executive Director of FREE THE WORK, she transformed the nonprofit, tripling annual donations and expanding its donor base from 6 to over 150. She built a global network of 18,000+ underrepresented creators and developed a tech product that evolved into a successful standalone business. The industry practices she established continue to shape how brands and agencies operate today.

In response to the Los Angeles wildfires, she co-founded #STAYinLA, rallying industry workers, business owners, and policymakers to protect the city’s creative economy. She has mobilized 20,000+ petition signers, spoken at City Hall, and is heading to Sacramento next week.

She serves on the boards of CA United, Black Entertainment Economic Council, and Green the Bid.
