The diversity, equity and inclusion issue in the media industry is correlated to the lack of access for rising talent. As a MediaMKRS employer partner, you help provide New Yorkers a gateway to media careers.
How does it work?
Define the Opportunity
Whether your company has a structured internship program or not, MediaMKRS will work with hiring managers to create a job description and determine the skills you require in a candidate. We’ll work with your calendar as well as your staffing needs to provide candidates year-round.
Pre-Qualify Interns
We’ll find candidates who fit your needs from among our students and alumni who have completed our industry specific work-readiness training in: Professionalism, Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Self Direction.
Eliminate Barriers
No one should have to work for free to get a leg-up in the industry. Most of our students couldn’t afford it either. We ask our partners to pay interns minimum wage. If that’s not possible, we can support intern salaries.
Ongoing Support & Assessment
MediaMKRS staff will monitor and support each intern to ensure their success and your satisfaction. Upon completion, we will solicit feedback to assess outcomes together in hopes of building a long term partnership.
