Jonathon Yormak

Founder and Managing Principal, East End Studios

Jonathon is the co-founder and Managing Partner of East End Capital Partners, a fully integrated real estate investment and development firm. Since 2011, East End has acquired over $1.3 billion of office, residential, and retail properties in New York City and Miami. In 2019, East End launched its film/TV studio development and management platform – East End Studios – with a $650 million fund led by King Street Capital and the plan to build five best-in- class stage campuses spanning 2.5 million square feet in Los Angeles and New York City; East End Studios will have opened three of the five new campuses by the end of 2025.

Prior to founding East End, Jonathon was a Managing Principal at both Ruben Companies and Broadway Partners. On a combined basis, he acquired, repositioned, and managed an office portfolio exceeding fifteen million square feet located throughout the U.S., as well as 1,000 residential units within New York City and Boston. Jonathon has extensive capital market knowledge, having sourced and structured billions of dollars of equity and debt. He also has broad platform-building experience, having started and grown various real estate related businesses, including Synergy Workplaces which was sold to Carr Workplaces in 2009. Earlier in his career, he was a real estate attorney at Fried Frank and Pryor Cashman, handling acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings, and REIT mergers.

A graduate of Colby College and Fordham Law School, Jonathon was a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Wynwood Business Improvement District in Miami and was a long- time board member of both the UJA-Federation of New York and The Children’s Hearing Institute.
