Warner Bros. Discovery Access Canada
VFX Coordinator Training
Applications are closed.
As a result of Warner Bros. Discovery’s commitment to building a more inclusive workforce, Warner Bros. Discovery Access Canada has partnered with Reel Works’ MediaMKRS program to create a free 16-session training launching this fall in Vancouver, BC. This training will develop visual effects coordinators, preparing them to work in high-end scripted programming. Trainees will connect with industry professionals who will provide them with real-world knowledge, collaborate with peers to apply their learning in scenario-based practicums, and gain tools to enhance their communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills. At the end of the training, all participants will receive a stipend. This training will take place primarily remotely with in-person facilities tours.
We acknowledge that the media and entertainment industry can do better when it comes to access for media professionals from marginalized communities, including people of color, women, and LGBTQIA+ people. Therefore, we strongly urge those with the following identities to apply: BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), LGBTQIA+, women, and non-binary people, people living with disabilities, and others with lived experience being part of marginalized communities to apply for this training.
