-
Production 101
VFX Producers are the center of any Production. They shepherd the team of VFX artists in partnership with VFX Supervisors, set the schedules for the work, negotiate and manage the budget, and are the client liaison to ensure jobs are delivered efficiently and to the creative brief.
-
Cinematography 101
Cinematography is the art and technology of motion-picture photography. It involves such techniques as composition of a scene, lighting of the set or location, choice of cameras, lenses, filters, and film stock, camera angles, and the integration of any special effects.
-
Edit 101
Editors use film and video footage to create a coherent and complete narrative that accurately depicts the film director’s vision. They use complex editing software to piece together stills, footage, sound effects, dialogue, and animation effects to convey an engaging story. Editors work in close collaboration with VFX studios.
-
Color 101
Color grading is the process of stylizing the color scheme of your footage by “painting” on top of what you've established through color correction. Without this creative and real time process, film footage would appear flat and fail to evoke the director/DP/Agency's intended ambiance or message.
-
VFX 101
Visual effects deal with the consolidation of real-life footage, computer-generated imagery (CGI) and other elements to create characters or environments that would typically be risky, costly, unrealistic, challenging or impossible to shoot on film. Anything is possible with imagination, teamwork and passion.
