IATSE Entertainment Industry Hair Stylist Training
The IATSE Entertainment Industry Hair Stylist Training is presented by Make-up Artists & Hair Stylists Local 798 and Reel Works. The training prepares licensed hair stylists for entertainment careers through the presentation of both theoretical information as well as practical, hands-on training in hair of all lengths and textures, focusing on period hairstyling, braiding, and wig preparation.
This training is made possible by the support of Netflix, AMC Networks and the Consortium for Workers Education.

What does it cost?
There is no fee for this program. Each trainee is paid to participate.
Who should apply?
21+ years before start of training
Must reside within NYC (Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, and the Bronx) for at least the past 6 months. Proof of residency will be required.
High school diploma or equivalent from within the 5 boroughs of NYC
Legally eligible to work in the US
Licensed Hair Stylists or Barbering License
