
Career Accelerator Program
with Jigsaw Productions
The Career Accelerator Program is a new initiative by Reel Works’ MediaMKRS program. The 2022-2023 partnership is in collaboration with Jigsaw Productions, to provide mentoring and hands-on career exploration to young adults interested in a career in film and documentary production.

Jigsaw Productions will offer early-career “mentees” the opportunity to work at Jigsaw Productions 1:1 with industry professionals who will serve as “career mentors.” For the Spring 2022 cycle, candidates can choose either the TV Production or Development & Production Executive track.
Mentees will have the opportunity to work with their mentor on specific projects during the four-month program that will enhance their interest and skills and introduce them to key professionals in the documentary film industry.
Mentees will have an opportunity to work on their own documentary project throughout the program.
Mentees will earn a $1500 stipend over the course of the program.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Eligible and ready to work in the U.S.; applicants who are still in school will not be considered
Must reside within a 2-hour commute to NYC for the past 6 months or longer
Strong computer skills (Mac OSX, MS Office, Excel, Google Suite, Google Drive, etc.)
Demonstrated interest in working in the field of documentary film production.
Minimum 1-3 years experience in the production industry
Bachelor’s degree (Communications, TV/Film Production, Journalism or a related field of study) OR equivalent work experience
Able to attend a mandatory virtual information session hosted by Reel Works.
Willing to meet virtually for a one-to-one interview as part of the selection process.
Must be fully vaccinated and able to show proof of vaccination.
Must be able to commit to working 2 days (16 hours a week) with Jigsaw Productions between TBD (dates are subject to change).
Currently the program is fully remote but that is subject to change.

Applicants will be selected by April 11th.
To receive the application, you must attend one of the mandatory Info Sessions.
